The Winter Carnivals, organized in Jammu and Kashmir by the Indian Army, are more than just festivals as they serve a strong expression of the region’s great cultural heritage, unity, and patriotism. Being conducted in the very beautiful surroundings of the region, these carnivals provide a unique opportunity to unleash the diverse traditions, music, folk dances, and regional games integral to the real culture of Jammu and Kashmir. With the Indian Army supporting these events, the carnivals celebrate not just local traditions but also foster a sense of togetherness and national pride among people.

These events provide a colorful mix of cultural performances where local folk dances such as the Rouf and the energetic Bhangra are performed with much enthusiasm.
